The Hip Hop community is at mourn as the leak concerning Jun Seba’s death better known as Nujabes, hit the news yesterday.
Nujabes passed away at the age of 36 in a car accident on February 26th 2010 in Tokyo.
Nujabes was a well-respected Japanese producer admired by lovers of quality Hip Hop around the world. He was also the founder of the independent label Hydeout Productions and owner of two record stores: T-Records and Guiness records. Nujabes was known for his mournful beats which often blended Hip Hop and cool jazz, in addition to his unique Japanese touch. Most interestingly, his music touched listeners from all backgrounds, no matter their age or music genre. Nujabes was described as a mystical and private person who avoided the public limelight, rarely giving interviews, a truly underground artist! Nujabes worked with several powerful MCs from Japan and the US such as Shing02, Substantial, Pase Rock, Cyne and CL smooth amongst others. Hydeout Productions has stated that the artist left tracks behind him, which are expected to be released in the near future for us to enjoy.
